  • Lincon Community Foundation Garden (map)

This event is FREE to attend - You may RSVP at our EVENTBRITE INVITE

Join us as we hear from two Lincoln leaders who have demonstrated Rising and Lifting in parallel.

Barbara Bartle has led our community for many years as we have grown and evolved in a collective effort to see a prosperous, inclusive, and flourishing Lincoln. While she rose in her career, she lifted others along the way, and we cannot wait to hear all about her journey.

To best dig in to the details of lifting others, Liz Lange, a twenty-year expert in the non-profit leadership space, and founder and owner of Liz Lang Consulting, will interview Barbara. These two will be a dynamic pair and leave us with the tools to take forward as we too, lift others, as we rise.

A special thank you to the Lincoln Community Foundation for hosting the event and making it a no-cost development option for all Lincoln women in business!

Meaningful Compensation & Benefits

Watch the recording here!

On Thursday, April 22nd at 5:30 pm (CST), we heard from Uche Enemchukwu, a benefits attorney who started her own consulting firm, Nelu Solutions.

Now that we understand the business case for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DE&I”) in the workplace and the many barriers bias creates for diverse employees, during this event Enemchukwu took us through actionable steps we can take to tweak existing systems and processes to advance change.

Key takeaways:

  • Building an inclusive workplace and designing equitable policies based on people’s lived experiences

  • Driving a culture of equity and inclusion through Benefits and Total Rewards programs

  • Being an ally

Our December RISE & Connect event, LISTEN, LEARN, LEAD will take place on Thursday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. This panel discussion will feature local experts who are willing to share their perspective and extensive work around inclusivity and bias.

We've learned from the last two RISE & Connect events that we all have biases, so our continued work should involve recognizing those biases and improving ourselves through education and conversations with others.

Learn from our very own Strengths Coaches: Samantha Kennelly and Taylor Lofdahl during this women-focused strengths workshop. Success for women-in-business is a sense of overall well-being. A woman’s perception of her well-being is based more on her relationships in the workplace and whether or not she is using her strengths to do quality work – more so than her salary or title.
